Nori is roasted black sheets of seaweed commonly used as part of sushi. Nori can also be used to provide a dark roasted flavour to salads and can be bought in most Chinese and Japanese specialty food stores.

Nori normally comes in resealable packages along with a packet of dissecant. It is important to keep nori dry and unexposed to air to prevent spoilage. Otherwise nori does not require refridgeration.
